What Did Prince William and Kate Middleton Name Their Puppy?

When it came to naming their brand new puppy, royal newlyweds Prince William and Kate Middleton decided to go a traditional, sophisticated route.

Standard operating procedure for a Duke and Duchess.

Kate Middleton let their closely guarded secret slip when talking to a group of school children at Rose Hill Primary School Tuesday: Its name is Lupo!

The cocker spaniel's moniker means 'wolf' in Italian.

Why the name Lupo? "There is no significance in it apart from they liked the name," a royal aide told the U.K. Daily Mail shortly after Kate spilled the beans.

Adopting the puppy in January, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge first met the canine over the Christmas holiday with her parents in Bucklebury, England.

"He belongs to a litter of spaniels from one of Carole Middleton's friends near home," a Palace aide said earlier this month when confirming Lupo's origin.

Late last year, Kate and William reportedly took the small canine companion home for a brief fostering period before making the adoption official.

"William and Catherine fell in love with the pup instantly and it wasn't long before they decided to keep him, officially, in their family," the source says.

We have a brand new year ahead of us. It's just the start of the new year; what have you done about your resolutions? What does your new year's resolution involve? Eating right? Saving more? Well, why don't you start on your resolutions for the year with these pretty simple tips. Eat well, live healthy and save more money this year with the help of these tips.

1. Cut off your drinking habits. Drinking excess colas, coffee or liquor is just an unnecessary waste of money and it can be bad for your health. Liquors and colas are quite concentrated drinks; and most of these colas and drink contain too much sugar. You can start by at least reducing your intake with these kinds off drinks.

2. Pack your own lunches and cook your own food. Taking your own lunch to your workplace will save you money- at the same time you can control and take note of what you eat. Stop buying all those packaged foods, fast foods or drink from outside; you'll save money more.

3. Go to a health fair or attend a free screening or health check. You will be updated of your health status and what changes you need to make. This will help you in detecting any diseases; if you are susceptible or if you have a family history of diseases so you can prevent them. This will help you now, as compared to all the hospital and medical bills that you have to face in the future if you don't make changes now.

4. Make a weekly meal plan. This way, you will know what to prepare for the next days and avoid wasting time. Create a list of all the meals that you will prepare and the ingredients that you will need. You can also cook meals in large portions and freeze them on different tupperwares. Reheat them when you want to eat.You need to just go to the grocery at least twice a month and save on gas.

5. Exercise daily. This is one of the best things that you can do to boost your energy and your health. You don't need to go to the gym, start by jogging around your neighborhood- it's free. If other family members want to be involved then the better. It's always more fun to have someone around; you won't get tired easily when you exercise together.

6. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are a great way to cleanse our system while boosting our immunity. Instead of always eating meat in huge portions, eat it in smaller portions instead and add more veggies to your plate. You'll save more and have a healthier body.

7. Detect sales and discounts on groceries or shopping centers. You can save lots of money on sales and discounted items. Sometimes they even come in bulk or two-for-one which is already a great deal. You can identify the items which you use daily; buy bulk with these items since you can save more; rather than buying them little by little.

Eat healthy, save more. Another year and another chance for you to put your act together and start living and eating right. Start changes, little by little and incorporate them into your life. You'd be surprised on how much you can save; and how healthier you have become at the end of this year.
