RAWDING-ANDERSON (1950-2012) ? Sandra Jane Marlane, born in Berwick, twelfth of thirteen children born to the late Herbert and Edna (Thorpe) Rawding. Following high school graduation, top of her class in Richmond Hill, ON., Sandy joined Scotia Bank, and remained a progressive employee for all of her career. The last five years as a consultant, during which time she spent five months in Australia with brother Richard or ?Dick and Jane? as referred to from childhood by older siblings. She enjoyed a full life: her passions were cooking, her afghan dogs; an expert on antiques, redecorating and gardening, not to exclude fast cars! She was a joy to be with, enjoyed entertaining; and had purchased a Century home in Meaford, Ontario decorated and furnished with antiques, open to family and her many girlfriends from Banking. One week into retirement, she suffered a stroke, a week later told she had a ?terminal illness? (ca.brain) and 3 ? 6 months to live. She managed to stretch those months to 16 and maintained independence with help of friends and family to the end. She was a special daughter to her Mother, they had a very special relationship. She is survived by former husband Don Anderson, many special girlfriends (theatre, spa, antiques, thrift store outings (especially ?Versache Village?) and missed greatly by sisters Alva (Gord) Bartley, Barrie Ontario, Gladys (Roger) Martin, Edmonton, brothers Ed (Karen), Peterborough, Ont., Fred (Pat), Bradford, Ont., two nieces she particularly adored, Brenda and Sarah. Predeceased by sister Beatrice (Langille). Brothers Cecil, Art, Reg, Eldon, Bob and Beverly. A celebration of life held in Scarborough attended by more than 300 friends, co-workers and family. A private family remembrance was held in Barrie. Cremation and ashes ? Aurora Cemetery, Ontario.
