Warriors Star Performer:??? Christine Stitcher was the all around champion (37.675) as well as the winner of the uneven parallel bars (9.3) and the balance beam (9.55). She took second in the vault (9.375) and floor exercise (9.45).?

Leslie Ross finished fourth on the bars (7.975) and eighth on the vault (8.575) while Aly Perbohner was sixth in the all around (32.35) and eighth on floor (8.45). Emily Berlin took fourth on beam (8.4) while Nikki Katz medaled with a fourth on floor (8.675).

Deerfield defended its Central Suburban League North Division title by virtue of its undefeated dual meet record in the conference and a first place finish in the CSL Meet. ?(It was) a great meet, very exciting right till the last event,? Coach Carol Myers said. Stitcher?s all around score broke a 27-year old school record. She also tied for the mark on beam. The junior varsity tied for the league title with Glenbrook North.?

Warriors Star Performer: ?? Eric Porter scored 22 points, dished out five assists, grabbed a rebound and stole the ball once. He made five of nine attempts from three-point range.?
Other Notable Warrior Performances:?????? Michael Alfieri contributed 17 points, seven rebounds and an assist. Andrew Ferdman chipped in seven points, five assist and two rebounds. Jack Gurvey had eight tallies.
Who?s Next:?? The Warriors travel to Maine East at 7:30 p.m. Friday.?
The Bottom Line:????? A dominant second half made the difference for Deerfield. After the first quarter ended in a 10-10 deadlock, Northridge went on a run to take a 28-21 halftime lead before the Warriors outpointed the Knights 21-12 in the third period to take a 42-40 lead by the end of the quarter. Deerfield continued to build its edge in the final stanzal.?

Warriors Star Performer:??? Anthony Tometz placed 49th in the State Meet finals improving from 58th after the first day of competition. He rolled games of 258, 224, 192, 198, 187 and 195 Saturday for a two-day total of 2,502.?

After dispatching New Trier, 49-18, and Niles West, 39-26, in the Central Suburban League Crossover Meet Friday, the Warriors had less than 12 hours to recover for two more dual meets. Deerfield finished its regular season ranked 16th in the State with a 25-4 dual meet record.?
